Rao R. Bhavani is the Director of AMMACHI Labs. She is the Principal Investigator for several projects funded by the UN Democracy Fund and the MHRD, Government of India. Her her research and work demonstrate her commitment to address the challenges of gender inequality in India. She is the Co-Chair of the International Conference on Robotics and Automation for Humanitarian Applications (RAHA 2016).

Raj Madhavan is currently a Distinguished Visiting Professor of Robotics with AMMACHI Labs at Amrita University, Kerala, India and the Founder & CEO of Humanitarian Robotics Technologies (HumRobTech), LLC based in Maryland, USA. Gayathri Manikutty: Assistant Professor, Haptic & Robotics Research Coordinator
Gayathri Manikutty is currently serving as Haptic and Robotics Research Coordinator at AMMACHI Labs. She is also an Assistant Professor and coordinates the M.Tech program in Robotics and Automation at Amrita University. She graduated with a M.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 2000. She was a verification engineer at Intel Corporation in Austin for 11 years, between 2002 to 2013. Since joining Amrita University in 2013, she has made fundamental contributions to the robotics and automation research and development at Amrita. Her research interest areas are in embedded systems, humanitarian robotics and haptics.
Alexander Muir: Associate Professor
Alexander Muir is a veteran User Experience (UX) researcher and Human Centered Design (HCD, CHI) practitioner. He specializes in mixed-methodology research into difficult problems, where the issues range from interface design to the social use of technology. From usability lab studies, to international surveys, to ethnography in the field, Alexander has successfully delivered actionable insights by combining research methods to match the requirements of each project. S. Vishnu Rajendran: Assistant Professor
S. Vishnu Rajendran is serving as Assistant Professor at AMMACHI Labs. He has completed his Masters in Computer Integrated Manufacturing from T.K.M College of Engineering, Kollam as topper for the college. He will soon pursue his PhD at Amrita University. He concentrates mainly on “Robotics and Automation technologies” which is his main research area of focus. He is experienced in conducting workshops and training programs on ABB Industrial robots for the engineering students and researchers in Amrita University.
Jose James: Senior Research Associate
Jose James currently working as Senior Research Associate at AMMACHI Labs. He is pursuing his PhD in Haptics at Amrita University. He has 8 more years of experience in research & development of games interfaces, virtual reality (VR) simulations and haptics. He was a visiting researcher at the Chair of Media Technology at the Technische Universitat München (Germany) as an Erasmus Mundus Heritage scholarship holder. His current research interests are multi point haptic rendering, audio-visuo-haptic VR simulations and Human-Robot Interfaces.
Namitha K. : Research Associate
Namitha K. currenly serves as Research Associate at AMMACHI Labs. She has pursued an M.Tech in Computer Science. Prior to this, she worked as a Software Engineer at Amrita TBI, Amritapuri Campus. Her research interests include Machine Learning, Data Analytics and its applications in Intelligent Systems.
Aswathi P. : Research Associate
Aswathi P. is currently serving as Research Associate at AMMACHI Labs. She completed M.Tech in Computer science from Amrita School of Engineering. She has worked as Project Leader at Amrita TBI for 5 years. Her area of interest is Data mining and currently works on the analysis and interpretation of skill learning.
