One of the many exciting developments following the Women Empowerment Project is the formal launch of a mentorship program to support the new micro enterprise cooperatives (SHGs) formed by project graduates. Inspired by the success of long-term, international volunteer workshops like the Secret Pillow Project and the Made with Love Italian cushions, AMMACHI Labs will soon be inviting successful women entrepreneurs from around the world to connect with a specific cooperative and spend a year mentoring the women through hands on workshops and skill training.

The Meppadi cooperative has gained international success through the mentorship and connection with UK entreprenur Fritha Vincent and the Secret Pillow Project.  The Secret Pillow Project shares the secrets of entrepreneurism with women worldwide and unfolds their power through making and selling. ” I have no words to express my happiness,” says Manjusha, an artisan from the Meppadi group,  “I know I will never go to England, but I am proud that something I have made with my name on it is being sold there.”

Antonia Enzo’s commitment to the women groups has resulted in amazing transformations. Many women have expressed their gratitude for her leadership and continued support. Antonia has plans to release some new designs. In conjunction with Silvia Zaccaro, an Italian stylist and designer, she’s planning a new  product line: Pillows Made with Love” Italian  Design Collection for 2015.

AMMACHI Labs also hosted a special Life Enrichment Education event at the Paripally center. Undefeated world-champion boxer, Hollywood actress (biggest hit, “Million Dollar Baby”), and renowned activist and women-empowerment speaker Lucia Rijker joined the Women Empowerment team for a session on overcoming obstacles to follow your dreams and basic self-defense. Her mentorship touched the lives of many women.
