Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham
Gayathri Manikutty currently serves as an assistant professor, a social innovator, and a robotics for education research lead at Ammachi labs. She joined Ammachi labs in 2013 as a technical manager leading the haptics team to develop haptic simulators for manual skill training before shifting focus to computing education and social innovation. She has guided over 15 Mtech Robotics and Automation Student projects on various humanitarian applications. Prior to joining Ammachi labs, she worked for 11 years at Intel Corp. in Austin, Texas, USA as a design automation and validation engineer. At Intel, she was part of the team that created Intel Atom microprocessor chips and SOCs with Bonnell and Silvermont microarchitectures. She graduated with a Masters degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 2000 and is currently pursuing her PhD in Cognitive Sciences and Technology at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Her research interest areas are in skill analytics, AI for robotics, human robot interaction and computing education.
