Job Description: QA Analyst for Multimedia (Video, Simulation, AR, VR) Development
Position Overview:
As an QA Analyst for Multimedia Development, you will be an integral part of an development teamresponsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of multimedia applications, including Video, Simulation, Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Object Visualizer. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Instructional designers, developers, designers, and creative head / project managers, to deliver high-quality multimedia products / projects that meet user expectations. Your role will involve testing, and continuous improvement of the QA process within an development environment.
Responsibilities:
- Pre-planning phase: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements,objectives, and desired outcomes, contribute to project planning by providing input on QAactivities and timelines.
- Testing: Collaborate with the development team to understand user stories, acceptance criteria,and technical specifications related to multimedia applications. Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Test Planning and Strategy: Develop a comprehensive test strategy for multimedia applications, including test scope, test cases, and test data, to ensure full coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
- Test Execution: Perform manual and automated testing on multimedia applications to validate functionality, usability, performance, and compatibility on various platforms and devices.
- Test Automation: Identify opportunities for test automation and work with the team to implement and maintain automated test scripts, ensuring efficient and repeatable testing processes.
- Regression Testing: Conduct regular regression testing to ensure that changes and updates tomultimedia applications do not introduce new defects or adversely affect existing features.
- Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Integrate testing activities into the CI/CD pipeline, facilitating the deployment of tested features to production environments.
- Defect Management: Identify, report, and track defects using issue tracking tools, providing detailed information and collaborating with the team to resolve issues efficiently.
- Usability and User Experience Testing: Evaluate the usability and user experience of multimediaapplications, providing feedback and recommendations to improve user satisfaction.
- Performance Testing: Design and execute performance tests to assess the responsiveness andstability of multimedia applications under various load conditions.
- Cross-Platform Testing: Ensure multimedia applications function seamlessly across different.platforms, browsers, and devices, addressing any compatibility issues.
- Documentation: Create and maintain clear and concise testing documentation, including testplans, test cases, and testing status reports.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the QA process, qualitystandards, and efficiency of testing within the Agile framework.
Requirements:
- Bachelor°ree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with 1+ year experience.
- Proven experience as an QA Analyst, with a focus on multimedia applications such as video,simulation, AR, VR, and object visualizer.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with test management tools, bug tracking systems, and version control systems.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies, SCRUM, and KANBAN principles.
- Familiarity with multimedia technologies, and file formats.
- Solid knowledge of testing methodologies, QA processes, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work independently, and meet tight deadlines.
- Proven experience as a QA Analyst or similar role, preferably in the Edutech industry.
- Experience with CI/CD practices and version control systems is a plus.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and scripting languages is a plus.
