On August 8, 2024, a group of 17 newly joined MSc Cognitive Science students from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham had the opportunity to immerse themselves in a day of hands-on learning and technological exploration at AMMACHI Labs. The visit featured a series of engaging demonstrations, allowing students to experience and understand the practical applications of advanced technologies.
A Glimpse into the Future: Demonstrations at AMMACHI Labs
During their visit, the Cognitive Science students were introduced to a variety of cutting-edge technologies, including the Scaffolding Simulator, the Haksh-E social robot, and the Bar Bending Simulator. Each demonstration offered a unique learning experience, highlighting the intersection of technology and education. The students were not only able to observe these technologies in action but also actively participated in the demos, gaining valuable insights into their potential applications in both academic and real-world contexts.
Afternoon Session: MSW and BSW Students Engage with AMMACHI Labs
Later in the afternoon, AMMACHI Labs and the Center for Women’s Empowerment & Gender Equality (CWEGE) welcomed a larger group of 66 students from the MSW and BSW programs. This visit provided another opportunity for students to explore the lab’s innovative technologies. The demonstration sessions sparked great interest among the students, particularly in the Hakshe-E social robot and the lab’s Virtual Reality applications.
The students expressed enthusiasm about their experience and conveyed a strong desire to revisit the lab to further explore and learn about these advanced technologies. The visit underscored the importance of hands-on learning and the role of technology in shaping future educational and professional landscapes.
