July 10th, 2024 - A successful inauguration ceremony for the 5-day TOT (Training of Trainers) project was held in Sarai Nooruddinpur village, #up.The TOT project will take place across 14 Amrita Covid Community Resilience Resource Centres (#ccrrc) in India. The chief guest of the opening ceremony was Miss Mamta, the Block Mission Manager (#NRLM), accompanied by the senior woman of the village, Mrs. Photo Devi.The ceremony commenced with an auspicious lamp lighting attended by our Self-Help Group members, women, and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham staff. Through the program, everyone was provided with detailed information about the TOT and starting a business. Miss Mamta explained that Amrita and NRLM will work together to advance this program.Through this project, women are being trained on starting businesses at the village level. The women involved will receive training in areas such as business methods, ideas for choosing a business, understanding market control systems by starting certain businesses, goal setting in business, saving methods, and risk assessment. The skill training program at NSTI Dehradun, Uttarakhand, and Govt. ITI Bicholim, Goa concluded on July 4th, 2024, marking the end of multiple 10-day pilot projects in Govt. Industrial Training Institutes and National Skill Training Institutes across four states: Haryana, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, and Goa (Govt. ITI Jhajjar at Gudha, Govt. ITI Bicholim, NSTI Mumbai and NSTI Dehradun).Team 1, comprising Deepu D S, Devinanda S, Megha Suresh, Anusivan, Aavish, and Gabriel Coleman took part in the skill training initiative at NSTI Mumbai and Govt. ITI Bicholim.Team 2 consisted of Ajai Kumar A G, Neeraja Anand, Sidhivinayak S, Anirudh Kannan, Vinod Singh Rawat, and Dr. Christopher Coley participated in the training program at Govt. ITI Jhajjar and NSTI Dehradun.In each institute, 20 students and two instructors from the Solar Technician and Electronics Mechanic trades underwent intensive training in AR, VR, and 3D simulations. A total of 160 students and 16 instructors benefited from the program. The training included assessments for both students and trainers, with valuable feedback gathered at the conclusion of each session. Each institute received a comprehensive computer setup complete with all necessary accessories and software, along with two VR devices. These resources were provided to ensure that instructors could continue training their students effectively beyond the conclusion of the program.At NSTI Dehradun, the closing ceremony was graced by Brahmachari Adv. Pramod Krishnan, overseer of MA Math activities in Uttarakhand, along with officials including Sri. Ravi Chilukoti, Regional Director, NSTI Dehradun and Sri. G.P Chourasiya, Dy. Director and Principal, NSTI Dehradun. Certificates were distributed to participants, and sessions were conducted for doubt resolution and a refresher on the skill-eLabs package for trainers. A Yoga and Meditation session organized by the Amrita Team further enriched the program.
