Kannur District, September 21, 2024 – The District Level Inauguration of #Viswamrit, a new Skill Development Program offering tailoring classes for women, took place today in Kannur. The event marked a significant step toward empowering women in the region through skill enhancement.

Swami Amritakripananda Puri, Math-in-charge of Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Kannur, formally inaugurated the program by lighting the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the start of a new journey for the participants.

The function was presided over by Dr. A. Madhavan, President of the Vishwakarma Navotthan Foundation, who emphasized the importance of such initiatives in uplifting the community. Sri. Harikumar S., Project Manager at @AMMACHILabs, provided an overview of the project, detailing its objectives and anticipated impact.

During the event, Shri. Somesh Kumar Acharya, Director & Secretary General of the Vishwakarma Navotthan Foundation, delivered a heartfelt felicitation address, highlighting the foundation’s commitment to supporting skill development among women.

Dr. Pradeep Kumar Poothali, Secretary of the Vishwakarma Navotthan Foundation, concluded the proceedings with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all attendees and supporters of the initiative.

Approximately 30 women from the Vishwakarma community are set to participate in the tailoring classes, marking a promising opportunity for skill acquisition and financial independence.
