Kollam, Kerala – August 27, 2024: The Center for Women’s Empowerment and Gender Equality (CWEGE), Amritapuri, in collaboration with the Vishwakarma Navothan Foundation, organized a life skills education session on teamwork for tailoring students in Punalur, Kollam district. The session was facilitated by Trainer Remya under the coordination of T.S. Shalini, Zonal Coordinator.
A total of 22 women participants from the Vishwakarma community attended the session, which focused on understanding the dynamics of good teamwork versus bad teamwork.
Program Highlights:
The session began with a video illustrating teamwork scenarios, followed by a discussion to help participants reflect on the importance of collaboration, faith, and trust within a team. Through interactive questions and group sharing, students gained clarity on how teamwork directly impacts success in both learning and community activities.
Objective:
The activity aimed to help participants recognize each other’s strengths and weaknesses, encouraging them to work collectively and inclusively while undertaking assignments, expos, or vocational training tasks.
Outcomes:
Participants acknowledged the power of teamwork, recognizing that success is achieved when everyone contributes, supports, and helps one another. The training also instilled the value of considering all members’ perspectives, fostering a spirit of cooperation.
By emphasizing the importance of trust and collective effort, the session provided participants with practical insights that extend beyond tailoring training—preparing them to collaborate effectively in their self-help groups and communities.
