We deeply mourn the passing of Shri Pitabasa Behera, a devoted Community Resource Person from Asanabania Wadi Village, Hindol Block, Dhenkanal District, Odisha, who left us on October 29th, 2025.
For the past three years, Shri Behera dedicated himself wholeheartedly to the growth and development of his community. Through his sincerity, hard work, and unwavering commitment, he played a vital role in supporting local farmers and advancing the Wadi project in the region.
His tireless efforts in motivating farmers to nurture their plants and adopt sustainable intercropping practices have created a lasting impact. Just last month, under his guidance, farmers successfully planted 1,560 lemon saplings along the borders of the Asanabania Wadi—an enduring symbol of his dedication and love for the land and its people.
Shri Behera will always be remembered for his compassion, leadership, and selfless service. As the saplings he helped plant continue to grow, they will stand as a living tribute to his life and legacy.
