A Pledge Today. A Better Tomorrow: Paduthonse Village Joins the 100 Sundays Campaign
Bringing together community participation, coastal cleanliness and a shared commitment to a healthier, substance-free India.
A shared pledge for healthier people and cleaner shores.
In Paduthonse Village, men and women from the community came together for a meaningful Sunday of shared purpose as part of the Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat – 100 Sundays Campaign.
With a shared vision of a healthier, substance-free future, participants took the Nasha Mukt Sankalp, pledging to support a drug-free India. They carried that commitment beyond words and onto the shores of Paduthonse Beach.
Just as we care for the world around us, we must also care for the world within.
100 SUNDAYS CAMPAIGN
Taking the pledge beyond words
The Nasha Mukt Sankalp represented a collective commitment to supporting a drug-free India and building a healthier future. Participants came together with a shared understanding that positive change begins with individual responsibility and collective action.
Their participation reflected the importance of making conscious choices that protect personal well-being and contribute to healthier communities.
From the pledge to the shores of Paduthonse Beach
Carrying their commitment into action, community members worked side by side at Paduthonse Beach, collecting and segregating waste to care for their coastal environment.
The activity brought people together around a common purpose: taking responsibility for the spaces they share and recognising the importance of protecting the natural environment.
Connecting a cleaner environment with healthier choices
Through their actions, participants connected the responsibility of keeping their surroundings clean with their pledge to make healthier choices, protect their well-being and lead lives free from substance abuse.
The campaign highlighted a meaningful connection between environmental care and personal responsibility. Both call for awareness, commitment and consistent action.
Promises alone cannot build a better future. We shape tomorrow through the choices we make, the care we show and the actions we take today.
A PLEDGE TODAY. A BETTER TOMORROW.
Building a better tomorrow, one Sunday at a time
The gathering at Paduthonse Village demonstrated how a shared pledge can become a meaningful community action. By bringing together the commitment to a substance-free future and the responsibility to protect the environment, participants made the 100 Sundays Campaign a moment of collective purpose.
A healthier society and a cleaner environment are shaped by the decisions we make today. Every pledge, every act of care and every step taken together can contribute to a better tomorrow.
