August 12, 2025,Kollam,Kerala – AMMACHI Labs proudly partnered with the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, in fostering creativity and innovation among school students through Mega Tinkering Day 2025—India’s largest-ever school-based tinkering event.

The nationwide celebration of hands-on learning witnessed the participation of 4,73,350 students from 9,467 Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) schools, all working on a unified challenge: designing and building a DIY vacuum cleaner using simple, everyday materials. Conducted virtually and simultaneously across the country, the activity encouraged students to apply principles of physics, engineering design, and problem-solving, while working collaboratively in real time.

As part of this initiative, AMMACHI Labs staff members Gayathri Manikutty, Pranav Prabha, and Archana S mentored students from two ATL schools in the Kollam region—Amrita Vidyalayam Puthiyakavu and Lakeford School.

Such tinkering challenges not only spark curiosity but also play a crucial role in building STEM skills, creativity, and an innovation mindset, ultimately empowering young learners to become future-ready problem-solvers and changemakers.
