Hyderabad, April 28, 2025: Dr. Bhavani Rao, Director of AMMACHI Labs and the Center for Women’s Empowerment & Gender Equality (CWEGE) at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, met with Sri Sanjay Kumar Jain, IPS, Additional Director General, Telangana State Special Police (TGSP), to discuss the ongoing expansion of the Sameekshanam Project—a flagship initiative focused on enhancing the well-being of police and paramilitary forces.
The meeting, held in Hyderabad, centered on strengthening collaborative efforts to provide officers with tools for mindfulness, emotional resilience, gender harmony, and stress management. As part of Amrita’s holistic approach to capacity building, the Sameekshanam Project equips personnel with life skills that promote internal balance and mental wellness, ultimately contributing to more compassionate and effective policing.
