Amritapuri, August 25, 2025 — AMMACHI Labs recently organized an engaging workshop for Social Work students of the Amrita School of Social and Behavioural Sciences, Amritapuri, focusing on the critical theme of Gender Violence, Sexual Harassment, and Student Conduct.
The session was expertly facilitated by Claire Vidya Moleon and Rondine Anushree, who guided students through an in-depth exploration of legal frameworks, policies, and university guidelines addressing gender-based violence and sexual harassment. Key discussions highlighted the POSH Act, SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s policy on sexual harassment, underscoring the importance of fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful campus environment.
Through interactive skits, group discussions, and activities, students reflected on how laws, institutional policies, and personal responsibility converge to build a culture of dignity and protection.
Many participants described the workshop as engaging, memorable, and thought-provoking, sharing their gratitude for the insights gained. The session provided valuable knowledge and perspective, equipping students with tools to become future social workers committed to promoting equality and safeguarding communities.
