Inauguration of “Sameekshanam – Be Calm, Be Compassionate” initiative – South Sector CRPF &Telangana State Special Police

Flashback – October 16, 2023 – The inauguration of  “Sameekshanam – Be Calm, Be Compassionate” initiative took place today, at GC Rangareddy in Hyderabad

The initiative is a collaborative endeavour involving researchers and trainers from the Center for Women’s Empowerment and Gender Equality CWEGE,  Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, the South Sector CRPF and Telangana State Special Police TSSP.
It is designed to improve the well-being of the forces focusing on strategies around strengthening cognitive and emotional resilience coupled with gender harmony.

A previous initiative led by Amrita in partnership with the Srinagar sector CRPF in Kashmir, was honoured with the prestigious “Smart Policing Award-2022” by FICCI. This award recognised the innovative approach covering critical areas such as Mental Health, Gender Sensitization, family well-being, financial literacy, and reflections on masculinity, which benefitted 28,000 CRPF personnel in Kashmir.
