The 2nd Foundation Takes Year-Long School STEM Program to Amrita Vidyalayam, Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Odisha | August 2026 — As part of the outreach activities for The 2nd Foundation’s Year-long School STEM Program (YLSSP), a team from The 2nd Foundation visited Amrita Vidyalayam, Bhubaneswar, on August 7–8, 2026, introducing students to the importance of STEM education and the opportunities offered through the year-long program.

The outreach team comprising Pranav Prabha, Archana S and Ajai Kumar A G conducted interactive sessions for students from Grades 3 to 9, creating an engaging introduction to STEM learning and the role it can play in preparing young learners for a rapidly evolving technological world.

Introducing Students to the Value of STEM Learning

The sessions, led by Pranav Prabha with support from Archana S, focused on helping students understand why Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education is increasingly important today.

Students were introduced to the Year-long School STEM Program, including how its hands-on and experiential approach can complement classroom learning and encourage curiosity, creativity, problem-solving and practical application.

The sessions were designed separately for different grade groups, allowing students to engage with STEM concepts in ways appropriate to their learning levels.

Robotics Demonstrations Spark Student Interest

The outreach was further enriched by interactive online demonstrations of Haksh E, showcasing the team’s work in robotics.

The demonstrations were conducted by Gayathri Ji, with support from Arjun, giving students an opportunity to experience robotics beyond textbooks and classroom theory. The live interaction generated considerable excitement, particularly among students interested in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics.

Students participated actively throughout the sessions, asking questions, sharing their interests and demonstrating strong curiosity about emerging technologies.

Looking Ahead to Odisha

The enthusiastic response from students has provided encouraging momentum for the next stage of the initiative.

With growing interest in STEM, AI and robotics among the participating students, The 2nd Foundation looks forward to introducing the Year-long School STEM Program across Amrita Vidyalayams in Odisha from the next academic year.

Through sustained, hands-on STEM education, the program aims to give young learners opportunities to explore technology, experiment with ideas and develop practical skills that can support them throughout their educational journey.

The Bhubaneswar outreach marks an important step towards expanding access to experiential STEM learning and inspiring a new generation of young innovators across Odisha.
