Beekeeping Trainees Receive Certificates in Nala Village

December 2, 2023 – 28 Self-Help Groups SHG women from the Nala village, Uttarakhand, who successfully completed extensive training in beekeeping, received their certificates during a ceremony in Nala today. The certificates were handed by Honorable Block Head Mrs. Shweta Pandey, Village Head Nala Mrs. Kamli, and regional reporter of Sahara Newspaper Mr. Vipin Semwal .

The training sessions had been facilitated by the Amrita Center for Women’s Empowerment and Gender Equality CWEGE, supported by ESRI India, with technical assistance from Maruti Overseas. It established apiaries in the three villages of Nala, Bhiri and Giriya, in Uttarakhand, and provided extensive training to women’s SHGs in beekeeping, with post-training monitoring and business development support.
