Certificates for CRPF officers attending Sameekshanam – Be Calm Be Compassionate

 November 3, 2023 – the Inspector General, CRPF Southern Sector, Ms. Charu Sinha, IPS and Dr Bhavani R Rao, Dean, School of Social & Behavioral Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, awarded certificates to the CRPF constabulary who completed the “Sameekshanam – Be Calm Be Compassionate” Training of Trainers program.

15 senior officers, Commandants and 2nd in command officers from 8 different CRPF South Sector battalions gathered at Group Center Rangareddy in Secunderabad, Telangana, for the “Champions of Change” 1-day workshop led by Amrita Dean, Dr. Bhavani Rao R and Center for Women’s Empowerment and Gender Equality researchers and trainers.

This workshop provided Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Commanding Officers with valuable insights into the 15-day training program, aimed at reducing stress, breaking down gender norms, strengthening family bonds, and enhancing self-awareness and financial skills for the constabulary. The Commandants and officers had the chance to experience the benefits of the program firsthand and devise strategies for implementing it within their respective battalions.

These newly certified officers are now ready to lead workshops in their battalions under SAMEEKSHANAM the “Love You Zindagi” workshop series, spreading positive change within the force. The project aims to touch the lives of over 8000 CRPF personnel in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
