Our Response to COVID-19

Certificates to Sankalp students –  Kanwara

January 19, 2024 – Certificates were distributed today to 28 students from the Amrita Sankalp Tailoring center, Kanwara village, Faridabad (Haryana), who successfully completed the training courses. Tailoring material was also distributed to 3 different business groups recently started by the students.

The chief guest of the program was Honorable Sarpanch Krishan Dixit, Kanwara village, and the special guests were Seema and Suraj, Ward Member Kanwara village.

This came under the SANKALP project (Skill Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion project), a program of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), implemented in various parts of India by Amrita University, to boost short term Skill Training programs for long term benefits through strengthening institutions, bringing in better market connectivity and inclusion of marginalized sections of the society. Through the training, women gained the skills and confidence they needed to start their own businesses.
