Our Response to COVID-19

Certificates to Sankalp students – Sidhola

January 20, 2024 – Certificates were distributed today to 44 students from the Amrita Sankalp Tailoring center, Sidhola village, Faridabad (Haryana), who successfully completed the tailoring courses. Tailoring material was also distributed to 2 business groups started by the students.
 The chief guest for the program was Honorable Ward Member Ritu, Sidhola village, and the special guest was Usha, Asha Worker Sidhola village.

This came under the SANKALP project (Skill Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion project), a program of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), implemented in various parts of India by Amrita University, to boost short term Skill Training programs for long term benefits through strengthening institutions, bringing in better market connectivity and inclusion of marginalized sections of the society. Through the training, women gained the skills and confidence they needed to start their own businesses.
