Distribution of Sewing Certificates – Sankalp – Nachauli

January 3, 2024 – The ceremony of distribution of sewing certificates to a business group of students from the Amrita Sankalp Tailoring center in Nachauli, Faridabad (Haryana), took place today.
Sewing certificates were distributed to 42 women who participated in the sewing training and completed the courses successfully. Chief guest of the program, Sarpanch Manoj of Nachauli village and special guests Satendra Nagar (Advocate), Urmila (ASHA worker) inaugurated the ceremony.

The Nachauli training center was part of the SANKALP project (Skill Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion project), implemented in various parts of India by Amrita University in collaboration with Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship MSDE, Government of India, , and the National Skill Development Corporation NSDC, to boost short term Skill Training programs for long term benefits through strengthening institutions, bringing in better market connectivity and inclusion of marginalized sections of the society. Through the trainings, women gained the skills and confidence they needed to start their own businesses.
