February 28, 2024 – Dr. Bhavani Rao recently delivered a compelling talk to Masters of Social Work (MSW) students from both Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Amritapuri and Coimbatore campuses. The focus of her discussion centered around the Arizona Human Rights Course, shedding light on its significance and implications for social work.

During the session, Dr. Bhavani Rao provided insights into the key aspects of the Arizona Human Rights Course, addressing topics related to human rights issues, social justice, and the role of social workers in advocating for and safeguarding human rights. Given the diverse audience comprising MSW students, her talk aimed to inspire and educate the future social work professionals on the importance of incorporating a human rights’ perspective into their practice.
