April 22, 2025 | Uttar Pradesh & Bihar — Communities across five Amrita SeRVe villages in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar marked Earth Day with a vibrant celebration of creativity, commitment, and care for the planet.

With the theme “Our Power, Our Planet”, the events brought together 74 participants, including women, children, and local leaders, united by a shared purpose to protect and honor Mother Earth.

Highlights of the Day:

🌿 Poster Making Competitions
Women from AMMACHI Labs’ Self-Help Groups (SHGs) designed and presented impactful posters promoting pollution-free living. Each group brought unique perspectives and practical ideas for building cleaner, greener communities.

👧🏽 Children as Environmental Champions
In Ratanpur, children from the Musahar community stole the spotlight with creative displays and heartfelt messages. Their enthusiasm and awareness demonstrated that environmental responsibility starts young.

🌳 Tree Planting for a Sustainable Tomorrow
In Morasia, women took direct action by planting saplings in their courtyards, turning household spaces into living symbols of sustainability and stewardship.

The event served as a reminder that collective action, even at the grassroots level, can have a profound impact. Through artistic expression, youth leadership, and environmental action, these rural communities are proving that a greener future begins with empowered individuals.
