Every year, April 25 is celebrated as World Malaria Day. This year, the World Health Organisation has joined hands with its partner organizations in order to promote its theme of Ready to beat Malaria.
AMMACHI Labs’ trained community organizer Usha Singh and assistant facilitator Mamata Poyam took the initiative to celebrate #WorldMalariaDay Celebrations on April 25, 2018, in Malgaon village, Chattisgarh. As there are many death cases reported due to Malaria in the village and nearby places, our #CO and facilitator invited #ASHA worker Gangu Netam to give awareness classes on Malaria to women and children at the Anganwadi. A group discussion was encouraged on the topic ‘how to prevent Malaria disease.
In Kalinagar village, West Bengal CO Lipika Sardar and Computer teacher Jyotirmoy Naskar organized a class where informative videos were shown to the villagers and later on a group discussion was facilitated for the women and computer center students who attended the program.
