AMMACHI Labs & L&T CSTI | Continuing the Conversation on Technology and the Future of ConstructionAsst. Prof. and Research Lead at AMMACHI Labs, Gayathri Anand Manikutty recently visited the L&T Construction Skills Training Institute (CSTI), Pilkhuwa, for an insightful discussion on the future of technology enabled construction skills training. 💡 🦺 In 2017, AMMACHI Labs designed a custom haptics simulator for construction rebar bending for L&T CSTI Pilkhuwa. During the visit, we were particularly encouraged by the continued positive feedback from Mr. Kamaljit Singh Mehrok, Principal, CSTI Pilkhuwa, L&T Construction, on the AMMACHI Labs Bar Bending Simulator.Mr. Mehrok highlighted the simulator’s value in the digitalisation of skill training, particularly its potential to help trainees develop practical skills through simulation before applying them in real world construction environments.The discussion also offered valuable industry perspectives on the evolving nature of construction training in the context of increasing automation. Simulators can complement human skill development while also supporting automation training, helping build industry capacity and ensuring that training remains relevant to changing workplace demands.We are grateful to Mr. Mehrok and the CSTI team for their time, candid feedback and valuable insights.
