⚡️"Electrified at AMMACHI Labs.”⚡️AMMACHI Labs hosted its first Open House on campus on Saturday, Nov 12, 2022. Around 100 BTech/MTech/BCA/MCA students came through for a tour and hands-on demo of various technological innovations. Many students commented on what an amazing and rich experience it was. AMMACHI Labs Labs researchers and faculty members including Gayathri, Deepu, Ashish, Jayadev, Dr. Ekaterina, Prajwal, Pranav, Mahesh, Sreejith, Radhika S, and Dr. Sashikanth hosted the event along with Ramakrishna, Ruthwik, and Sarang who are currently doing their internship at AMMACHI Labs.🤖Students got to experience Virtual Reality with Oculus Quest, Augmented Reality with Microsoft Hololens, full body haptic experience with Tesla Suit, force feedback haptics with the bar bending simulator and Novint Falcon. The students interacted with a drone in real-life and in simulation by controlling it with gestures, interacted with HaKsh-E, the social robot which promotes handwashing behaviour among young children, played Unity 3D games and simulations, learnt about the work we do in CWEGE and played the new empathy game that Dr. Ekaterina shared with everyone. The palpable enthusiasm among the steady stream of students visiting the lab was infectious - as the day progressed, more and more students poured in. ☕️The GAD team at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham pampered everyone with plenty of delicious Indian chai and snacks throughout the whole day. Our goal to communicate and celebrate our technology centered research was beautifully accomplished leaving everyone wanting for more. #virtualreality #VR #augumentedreality #teslasuit #haptic #haptics ... The Orange ribbons "dye the world in orange,” showing the aversion to the violence against girls and women and symbolize a better future, without violence, for all women and girls. Ribbons were made by #SocialWork students from the Amrita School of Social and Behavioural Sciences, Amritapuri 🇮🇳Around India, the #SANKALP team organized several women-led activities in 46 centers throughout India: Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana. Women participated in rallies, poster making sessions, enacted role plays about domestic violence and shared their own stories and struggles. Overall, it was an energizing and action-packed day across the Amrita family.🥳“Today has been such a wonderful day with students, women from the villages and centers as well as faculty researchers and members of AMMACHI Labs and CWEGE actively participating in the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women,” said Dr. Bhavani Rao, Director of AMMACHI Labs.
