⚖️ POSH & POCSO: Building Awareness, Strengthening SafeguardsAMMACHI Labs hosted an online awareness session on POSH and POCSO laws, organised following a request from Amrita Vidyalayams and conducted in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kollam.The session brought together 100+ participants from Amrita Vidyalayams across Tamil Nadu, Kolkata and Durgapur, along with participants from AMMACHI Labs and the Amrita School of Social and Behavioural Sciences.Led by Adv. Rahul V. I., Panel Lawyer, DLSA Kollam, and hosted by Soja Baby, the session introduced key legal safeguards relating to workplace safety and the protection of children from sexual offences.Key areas discussed🔹 POCSO ActProtection of children under 18, mandatory reporting responsibilities, child-friendly procedures and the legal consequences of non-reporting.🔹 POSH ActInternal Committee requirements, workplace protections for women, scope of coverage and procedures for addressing complaints.💬 The interactive discussion gave participants an opportunity to raise practical questions from their own institutional settings, with particular attention to mandatory reporting, parental pressure and the responsibilities of those entrusted with safeguarding.The session offered a valuable opportunity to strengthen legal awareness, institutional responsibility and safeguarding practices across our communities.Our thanks to Adv. 🚀 YLSSP Launch | Amrita Vidyalayam, KolkataThe STEM journey begins in Kolkata! 🌟As part of The 2nd Foundation’s Year-long School STEM Program (YLSSP), students at Amrita Vidyalayam Kolkata were introduced to the programme through an orientation session, offering a glimpse of the hands-on learning and exploration ahead.The dedicated STEM space was formally inaugurated on 19 August 2026, in the presence of Dr. Krishna Daripa, Head of the Department of Computer Science, Sarsuna College; Bri.
