For many women in India, carrying heavy loads on their backs or heads causes numerous health problems and chronic pain. Sometimes a simple automation or enhancement to traditional methods can really make life easier and give a sense of human dignity. Harish Mohan and Vishnu Rajendran from #AMMACHILabs along with Aymeric Maurin, an intern from #EPFL Switzerland, designed this Load Carrying Aid prototype. Rural women from Dunda Village, Uttarakashi were thrilled to try out the prototype and gave us positive feedback.
