Kanti, one of the prominent village under UNDEF project is getting a complete makeover !

Kanti village (Haryana) will soon, have it’s own #ReverseOsmosis (RO) plant that will supply purified water to the community. Thanks to a promising Sarpanch Shri. Devi Singh. While he was contemplating on it, our #CO Renu Bala and #SHG team fuelled the decision, after discussing about the results of water tested from 3 different sources in the village.
Villagers will have to pay a nominal 2/- per 20 litre bottle (outside it’s 10/-). The fund collected will be used for maintenance and to pay wages to persons engaged to run the plant. This will also create employment for some youth from the village.

Another highlight, a park is also coming up close by in a 1½ acre land and is stated to get ready by a month. Yet another, a proper road is being constructed (the stretch outside Dharamshala). It had been a rough/loose surface with lot of dust. Vehicles, buses usually take this route and people faced difficulties, particularly school children. The 2000 feet long road is expected to be completed by 3 weeks, ahead of monsoon there.
