AMMACHI Labs attended the National Convention on CSR in Delhi on Feb 9th and 10th 2017. The theme of the convention was “The Business Case for India’s Progress” and was hosted by the United Nations Global Compact Network India (UN-GCNI) and Udgam Charitable Trust. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been in news for quite some time as the New Companies Act of 2013 mandated that CSR become a compulsory part of a company’s initiatives.

Key sessions included Health and Sanitation Campaign and CSR initiatives, CSR in Education and Gender Equality, Skill Creation for Employability, Sustainability in Environmental Practice.

The United Nations Global Compact is a United Nations initiative to encourage businesses worldwide to adopt sustainable and socially responsible policies, and to report on their implementation.

This two-day convention included presentations, panel discussions and dialogue eminent members from Government, Corporate, Academia and Civil society. AMMACHI Labs had several key interactions with top level people from various domains.
