Over 3,500 Teachers and Students Experience the Grand Amritavarsham 72 Exhibit: A Celebration of Innovation, Compassion, and Sustainability

In just 10 days, more than 3,500 teachers and students from 37 schools across Kerala immersed themselves in the Amritavarsham 72 Exhibit — a vibrant showcase of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s cutting-edge innovations and the Mata Amritanandamayi Math’s global humanitarian initiatives.

The exhibition drew wide recognition, with leading media houses from Kerala and Tamil Nadu featuring it during prime-time broadcasts, capturing the event’s unique blend of compassion, creativity, and technological innovation.

Highlights of the Exhibit

Art with a Purpose: An inspiring gallery displayed artworks made entirely from waste collected at Amritapuri. These materials were transformed by students and artists into powerful visual messages promoting environmental awareness and responsibility.

Empowerment through Upcycling: Plastic waste was upcycled into wearable accessories and handloom products by women trained under AMMACHI Labs and the Centre for Women’s Empowerment and Gender Equality (CWEGE) — a true demonstration of skill development, sustainability, and economic empowerment.

Rural Technology Innovations: Cutting-edge technologies designed to solve rural challenges — including human-animal conflict prevention tools, robotics, drone learning systems, and Hakshi Social Bot simulators — inspired curiosity and dialogue among visitors, highlighting Amrita’s commitment to technology-driven social good.

The Amritavarsham 72 Exhibit has become a hub of inspiration, attracting enthusiastic participation from schools and colleges nationwide. It continues to ignite young minds toward sustainable innovation, social impact, and the spirit of selfless service that defines Amrita’s mission.

A true celebration of innovation with compassion — where science meets service, and education becomes a force for transformation.
