Prof. Rao R. Bhavani(Director, AMMACHI Labs & UNESCO Chair in Center for Women’s Empowerment and Gender Equality) delivered the felicitation address for the 3 day National Seminar on ‘Śakti Worship in India’ jointly organized by Amrita Darshanam – International Centre for Spiritual Studies, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham & Nari Samvaad Prakalp, Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts.

Śakti worship is a unique phenomenon in India. The various other cultures of the globe celebrate the femininity, the fertility and female entity as worshipful. In India, it is deified for highly evolved cultural, philosophical and social practices for the ultimate realization of the Atman. The Seminar endeavors to bring the concepts of (very best of these two under its concept) Sādhana and Upāsana in its entire extent. Eminent scholars are invited to present their papers and presentations.
