Amritapuri, June 19, 2025 — AMMACHI Labs, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s pioneering research center for technology-driven social impact, welcomed two distinguished guests from Schneider Electric: Mr. Albert Fuchet, Global Vice President – Access to Energy, and Mr. Abhimanyu Sahu, Chief Operating Officer – Schneider Electric India Foundation. The visit marked a significant step forward in the ongoing collaboration between the two institutions toward inclusive, sustainable development.

The visit is part of Schneider Electric’s Access to Energy program, a global initiative aimed at delivering safe, reliable, and affordable energy solutions to underserved communities. In India, this vision is carried forward through the Schneider Electric India Foundation, which actively supports education, skilling, and social equity projects across the country.

Discussions during the visit centered around scaling efforts through AMMACHI Labs’ AMPLE (Amrita Multi-Platform Learning Environment) platform, designed to deliver immersive, experiential learning in rural and marginalized settings. A key highlight of the day was a hands-on demonstration of Learning Simulations, which showcased the platform’s potential to transform training and capacity-building initiatives.

The simulations—designed to teach complex vocational and life skills through interactive, game-based learning—left a lasting impression. The guests lauded the team for combining cutting-edge technology with human-centered design to drive social impact at scale.

During their tour, the Schneider Electric delegation engaged with researchers and team members, gaining insight into ongoing initiatives spanning vocational training, women’s empowerment, digital literacy, and sustainability. They offered congratulations and encouragement, recognizing AMMACHI Labs as a valuable ally in building a more equitable and energy-resilient future.
