Amritapuri, May 3, 2025 — AMMACHI Labs was privileged to welcome Dr. T.R. Kesavan, Group President of TAFE – Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited, Fellow at the Institute of Directors, and a prominent thought leader in India’s agricultural and skills development landscape.

Dr. Kesavan’s visit included an engaging overview of the Lab’s research and development initiatives, followed by hands-on demonstrations of key innovations developed by the team. Featured projects included:

Dr. Kesavan was particularly captivated by the Amrita Scaffolding Simulator and the interactive Haksh-e social robot. A standout moment occurred when he conversed with Haksh-e in Malayalam, to which the robot responded fluently—an exchange that delighted him and underscored the system’s local relevance.

He also praised the Elephant Watch Project for its field-level application and encouraged the team to explore advanced repulsion techniques to further its effectiveness. His feedback on the Bar Bending Simulator highlighted its potential to transform construction skills training, a sector in dire need of scalable learning tools.
