Tantichira, Odisha: In a remarkable community-driven effort, the Tantichira Wadi reached a new milestone with the planting of 2,930 saplings in just one day. The activity formed part of essential gap filling work, where fresh lemon, cashew, and mango saplings were introduced to ensure healthy plant density and balanced growth across the wadi.

Agricultural Highlights of the Week

• Asanabania: Land was prepared for upcoming flax seed cultivation.

• Kharmul: Farmers harvested and successfully sold fresh brinjal.

• Bramhaniapal: Harvests included 22.5 kg of ridge gourd and 12 kg of bitter gourd, with natural pesticides applied to safeguard intercrops.

• Across Wadis: Daily solar fencing inspections continued, protecting both crops and wildlife. A new adapter was also installed to enhance elephant monitoring efforts. 🐘

Strengthening Goat Rearing Initiatives

The Goat Rearing Groups (GRG) advanced their activities with village meetings in Rajanga, Chadoi, and Panchapada. Farmers received goats along with full documentation support. At Rajanga, expense details were openly shared with GRG members and village representatives, reinforcing transparency and collective decision-making.
