Strengthening Goat Rearing Initiatives
The Goat Rearing Groups (GRG) advanced their activities with village meetings in Rajanga, Chadoi, and Panchapada. Farmers received goats along with full documentation support. At Rajanga, expense details were openly shared with GRG members and village representatives, reinforcing transparency and collective decision-making.
Building Sustainable Rural Livelihoods
Together, these agricultural and livestock initiatives are creating resilient rural livelihoods. While sustainable farming enhances food security and nurtures local ecosystems, goat rearing provides farmers with reliable income opportunities.
Reflecting on this balance, Amma reminds us:
โWe are not different from nature; we are an interdependent part of it. Our lives depend on the well-being of the whole. Therefore, it is one of our foremost duties to lovingly care for all living things.โ ๐๐
The Wadi initiative, implemented by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham with support from NABARD Online, continues to empower tribal communities through sustainable agriculture and income-generating activities โ strengthening self-reliance, one harvest at a time.
