January 3, 2024 – Organised by the School of Social & Behavioral Sciences at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, an “African Celebration” social event took place at the Amrita Campus. The gathering’s goal was to meet and greet the Amrita PhD students from #Africa, benefiting from the E4Life (Education for Life) program. It included “All Things African”: Music – Food – Dance – Dress.

The students hailed from the following African countries: Zimbabwe – Gambia – Nigeria  – Zambia. Their PhD research covering a range of social, economic and environmental issues, many of which are related to Gender Equality and Women Empowerment.
