World Robot Olympiad India competition
AMMACHI Labs Team members Prof. Gayathri Anand, Kavin, Vishnu Somasekhar and Vennila Vilvanathan from the haptics team were the coaches for the eight Amrita Vidyalayam, Puthiyakavu students who participated in the World Robot Olympiad India (#WRO India)competition.
The theme for this year’s competition is Sustainabots: Robots for Sustainability. In the elementary category, teams have to build robots that can promote sustainable tourism and help scientists and visitors explore nature.
Amrita Vidyalayam students have participated in AMMACHI Labs’ Second foundation series of workshops geared towards cultivating maker and robotics skills in students. The workshops reimagine education holistically, combining high technology with social and emotional learning (SEL) in five areas – Maker skills, Vulnerability Mapping, Computational Thinking, Robotics & Life Skills in schools and villages across India. #designthinking #21stCenturySkills #2ndfoundation #makerspace
