Amritapuri, Kerala, August 14, 2026: Bringing together the timeless knowledge of Ayurveda and the emerging possibilities of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham hosted a two-day workshop titled ‘Vibe Coding with AI for Ayurveda’ on August 13 and 14, 2026, at the Amrita School of Ayurveda, Amritapuri.
The immersive, hands-on workshop brought together Ayurveda faculty and professionals to explore how AI can support learning, innovation, and the development of practical solutions in the field of Ayurveda. Designed for participants without prior coding experience, the programme introduced an accessible approach to AI-powered solution building through prompt-based development and experimentation.
The workshop focused on enabling participants to understand the potential of AI and apply emerging technologies to ideas and challenges rooted in Ayurveda. Through practical sessions, participants explored how prompts and AI tools can be transformed into meaningful solutions without requiring conventional programming expertise.
Inaugural Ceremony
The workshop was inaugurated by Br. Vishwanathamrita Chaitanya, Director – Corporate & Industry Relations, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus.
The inaugural ceremony also featured a special address by Dr. Bhavani Rao R, Director, AMMACHI Labs and Center for Women’s Empowerment & Gender Equality, Dean, Amrita School of Social and Behavioural Sciences, and UNESCO Chair on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment.
The speakers highlighted the importance of creating bridges between traditional knowledge systems and emerging technologies, while encouraging educators and professionals to explore AI as a tool for innovation, learning, and problem-solving.
From Prakriti to Prompt
With the theme “Prakriti meets Prompt,” the workshop offered participants an opportunity to move beyond theoretical discussions and engage directly with AI-powered tools. The programme demonstrated how individuals from non-technical backgrounds can experiment with AI and develop solutions by translating their ideas into effective prompts.
The hands-on approach encouraged participants to think creatively, experiment with new possibilities, and explore how AI could complement their professional knowledge and expertise in Ayurveda.
Valedictory Ceremony
The two-day programme concluded with a valedictory ceremony graced by Ms. Gayathri Manikutty, who served as the Valedictory Guest.
The concluding session celebrated the participants’ journey from developing ideas and crafting prompts to exploring AI-powered solutions. The workshop provided a platform for participants to reflect on the possibilities of integrating AI into their respective fields while remaining grounded in the principles and knowledge of Ayurveda.
The ‘Vibe Coding with AI for Ayurveda’ workshop marked an important step towards encouraging interdisciplinary learning and digital innovation, demonstrating how emerging technologies can be made accessible to professionals across diverse disciplines.
