Thiruvananthapuram: As part of its ongoing engagement with the Government of Kerala, a delegation from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham met with Shri Shibu Baby John, Minister for Forests & Wildlife Protection and Skill Development, Government of Kerala, to explore opportunities for future collaboration and joint initiatives.

The delegation was led by Dr. Maneesha Vinodini Ramesh, Pro Vice Chancellor, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, and included Prof. Bhavani Rao R, Dean, Amrita School of Social and Behavioural Sciences (SSBS), faculty members from the Amrita Center for Wireless Networks and Applications (WNA), and other representatives of the university.

The meeting focused on identifying areas of mutual interest and strengthening collaboration between Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and the Government of Kerala. Discussions explored potential opportunities for leveraging the university’s academic expertise, research capabilities, technology, and community-oriented initiatives to support the state’s development priorities.

The participation of faculty and representatives from different academic and research centres highlighted Amrita’s multidisciplinary approach to addressing emerging societal, technological, environmental, and skill-development challenges.

The interaction marked a significant step towards building stronger institutional partnerships and exploring collaborative initiatives that can contribute to skill development, innovation, research, community empowerment, and sustainable development in Kerala.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham continues to engage with government institutions and other stakeholders to translate academic and research expertise into meaningful solutions for society.
