Ellamma began working with our team in Andhra because of her passion to help with village development. She was trained in serious games and alternate community engagement strategies. She also spreads awareness on sanitation and healthy living habits to the youth in her village of Gudipaducheruvu. She believes that young people should take responsibility for their community’s future and uses the power of games to engage them. Through games, she can in discuss topics which are normally taboo such as alcoholism and other social issues. She also uses film as a tool to document stories: such as the story of a young alcoholic mother who realizes that her lifestyle is jeopardizing her family and community.
