Certificates to Amrita Sankalp beautician students – Badshahpur

January 15, 2024 – Certificates were distributed today to 32 students from the Amrita Sankalp Beautician center, Badshahpur village, Faridabad (Haryana), who successfully completed the training courses. Beauty therapist material was also distributed to 2 business groups started by the students. The chief guest of the program was Honorable Mange Ram (Junior Engineer, Electricity Department, Haryana Government), and the special guests were Suresh (social worker) and Mrs. Asarfi. This came under the SANKALP (Skill Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion project), project a program of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), implemented in various parts of India by Amrita University, to boost short term Skill Training programs for long term benefits through strengthening institutions, bringing in better market connectivity and inclusion of marginalized sections of the society. Through the training, women gained the skills and confidence they needed to start their own businesses.
