Certificates to Sankalp students – Kanhangad & Nileshwaram

January 18, 2024 – Certificates were distributed to 47 students from the Amrita Sankalp Tailoring center in Kanhangad, North Kerala, and 36 students from the Amrita Sankalp Tailoring center in Nileshwaram, North Kerala, who all successfully completed their training courses at the center.
The ceremony was headed by Kanhangad Amrita Vidyalayam principal Bri.Gurudeepamrita and Amritasree district coordinator, Rajan. During the event, 81 placements were confirmed.

This came under the SANKALP project (Skill Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion project), a program of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), implemented in various parts of India by Amrita University, to boost short term Skill Training programs for long term benefits through strengthening institutions, bringing in better market connectivity and inclusion of marginalized sections of the society. Through the training, women gained the skills and confidence they needed to start their own businesses.
