Certificates to Sankalp students – Pizhala & Koduvazhanga

January 18, 2024 – In Pizhala, 26 embroidery students from the Amrita Sankalp Embroidery center, Pizhala, who successfully completed their training courses, received their certificates from Bri Karunyamrita, AMMACHI Labs.

And in Koduvazhanga, 54 beauty therapist students from the Amrita Sankalp Beautician center Koduvazhanga, who successfully completed their training courses, received their certificates from Bri Karunyamrita, AMMACHI Labs. Sree Narayana Club Library president Mr. Joshy and secretary Mr. Shybin presided over the program.

This came under the SANKALP project (Skill Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion project), a program of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), implemented in various parts of India by Amrita University, to boost short term Skill Training programs for long term benefits through strengthening institutions, bringing in better market connectivity and inclusion of marginalized sections of the society. Through the training, women gained the skills and confidence they needed to start their own businesses.
