Distinguished Delegates from University of Auckland Visit AMMACHI Labs and CWEGE

On November 14th, 2024, AMMACHI Labs and the Center for Women’s Empowerment and Gender Equality (CWEGE) at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham hosted a visit from distinguished delegates from the University of Auckland. The guests included Professor Mark Barrow, Dean of the Faculty of Education and Social Work, Operations Administration, and Professor Marek Tesar, Head of the School of Learning Development and Professional Practice and Associate Dean International at the Faculty of Education and Social Work.

During their visit, the professors explored various hands-on demonstrations of innovative technologies developed by AMMACHI Labs. Highlights of the visit included the Bar Bending Simulator and the HaksH-E Social Robot, both of which exemplify AMMACHI Labs’ commitment to merging technology and social impact.

The delegates were particularly impressed by the HaksH-E Social Robot and its potential applications in education and social interaction. They also engaged deeply with the Bar Bending Simulator, which features advanced haptic feedback technology. Experimenting with varying levels of force feedback, the professors appreciated how the simulator mimics the physical sensations of real-life bar bending, providing an immersive and educational experience.

The visit underscored AMMACHI Labs’ role in driving technological innovation for societal good and fostering global academic collaborations.
