Gunbati Poyam, from the Malgaon Village in Chattisgarh, joined our AMMACHI Labs’ Tailoring course as a student. She tackled the material with focus and care, earning the prestige of being the “best student” in the class. Later, having demonstrated a high aptitude for tailoring and leadership abilities, Gunbati was hired by AMMACHI Labs to become a Facilitator and Subject Matter Expert #SME for the Tailoring course. Gunbati started sharing the knowledge she received from the life-skill development portions of the course to spread health, hygiene and sanitation awareness to others and conducted several community events.

During her free time, Gunbati also works as a counsellor to her students, and through her influence her mother in law stopped using tobacco. She is truly and inspiration to all of us and the women in her community! #inspiration #womenpower #lifeskills #empowerment #wesanitation
