In Valaramkunnu village, Wayanad, Kerala, AMMACHI Labs team, Master of Social Work, Amritapuri students and faculty organised an awareness class, powerpoint presentation and a video session about #polio, its symptoms, and preventive measures . Meanwhile, medical officers of health department administered polio vaccines to children in the village. Team also arranged a documentary show on the same day as it was an important day for Paniyas which was related with the story of Karinthandan(1700 – 1750 AD) who was the local chieftain of Paniyas in Wayanad district. The sessions were really appreciated by the community. In the afternoon session, a training class was given to children by teaching various co curricular activities in view of Muthakara school annual day function. MSW students conducted tution classes for tenth standard students from the village.
