MSME Sankalp event & registrations at Amrita University

November 10, 2023 – An “Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme” event was held today by the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Entreprises MSME, Office of Development Commissions, Government of India, at Amrita University, Amritapuri campus.

It was attended by around 125 students from the AMRITA SANKALP centers in Kerala, and by trainers at the centers.

This one day programme on Entrepreneurship Awareness covered the entire MSME programmes, mainly how to start a business and all the benefits that come from a MSME registration.
Three Business Entrepreneurs shared their experience, and about 40 of the students completed their MSME Registration for start up.

The SANKALP project (Skill Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion) was implemented by Amrita University in collaboration with Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship MSDE, Government of India, Government of India, and the National Skill Development Corporation NSDC, to boost boost short term Skill Training programs for long term benefits through strengthening institutions, bringing in better market connectivity and inclusion of marginalized sections of the society. Through the trainings, women get the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
