Today is World Environment Day ! This year, it is being hosted by Canada and the theme for the year is “Connecting People to Nature”. The first World Environment Day was celebrated in 1973 at Stockholm and it has been a flagship campaign for raising awareness on emerging environmental issues from marine pollution, human overpopulation, and global warming, to sustainable consumption and wildlife crime.

AMMACHI Labs’ Community Organizers and the Summer Camp students in Kimana and Dunda villages celebrated #WorldEnvironmentDay by planting trees and plants. An event was organized at Nani Borvai village in Gujarat too. Here are the pictures from the villages.
